Singh, Jasvinder was born on July 28, 1963 in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India. Son of Arjun Singh Dhanjal and Agya Pal Kaur.

Achievements include patents for an improved process for single step air oxidation of cyclohexane to adipic acid. Patents pending for process for oxidative desulfurization of liquid hydrocarbon fuels. First time generation of lab scale data on thermal cracking of residual feedstocks in terms of distillate lumps.
Developed and commercialised catalytic reformer simulation and optimisation package for semi-regenarative catalytic reformers. Development of process for value addition to light Naphtha (in C5-C6 range) through its conversion to LPG and aromatics.
