Background
Krein, David was born in 1869 in Kurlandia. Brother of the composers Aleksandr and Grigorii Krein.
Career
- First violin and soloist with the ballet orchestra of the Bolshoi Theatre, 1900-1926. Professor at the Moscow Conservatory, 1918-1926. Member of the Moskovskoe Trio (with D. Short the founder, M. AFtshuler, and later R. Erlikh).
